Setting up a New Customer
The main steps involved in setting up a new customer are:
- Create an account for the new customer in the VIP VoIP management portal.
- Enable portal access - if needed - for the customer’s team members.
- Request a VoIP server for the new customer via the management portal.
- Request integration with third-party software - if needed – via the management portal.
- Request number ports for the new customer - if needed – via the management portal.
When the customer’s VoIP server has been allocated then: - Allocate new telephone numbers if required.
- Configure telephone numbers in the server, configure telephone extensions and configure the customer’s desired incoming call handling behaviour (refer to separate detailed documentation).
- Procure new telephones and configure them to connect to the VoIP server.

Set Up the Customer Account
Nothing else can happen until this step is completed.
Login into the VIP VoIP management portal: https://portal.vipvoip.co.uk/
Click on the Customers menu link:
Click New Customer
Enter the customer’s business name and contact details and click save.
You may now wish to give the customer access to portal.
